Fire fighter who died in the line of duty, honoured

Christopher Edwards may be gone, but he has not be forgotten by his family, friends, and brothers in duty at the Barbados Fire Service.

Yesterday, in honour of the Late State Officer Edwards, the Barbados Association of Retired Fire Officers held a wreath-laying ceremony at All Saints Anglican Church, Station Hill, St. Peter.

The Attorney General and Minister of Home Affairs, Adriel Bratwaite was present. The Fire Service falls under the portfolio of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Other members of parliament attended the intimate gathering as well, along with family members, friends and past colleagues of the deceased.

Edwards lost his life in the line of duty during a fire at Station hill in St. Peter, on December 14, 2010.
