Firemen save St. Philip home from total destruction

While many slept in the wee hours of this morning, fire and smoke woke a homeowner ad triggered an emergency call to the Barbados Fire Service.

The call was made at 2:33 am, today, Wednesday, November 7, 2018.

Station Officer Acting, Vaughan and seven fire officers responded to the blaze at Marchfield, St. Philip. The response comprising two water tenders, came from St. John Fire Station and the Bridgetown Fire Station.

According to the Fire Service the blaze was in the garage area of the home. The wooden house received partial damage to the ceiling in the area of the dining room as well.

Police have reported that the home was owned by 45-year-old Rodney Tempro of Marchfield St. Phillip. Police investigations continue.
