This warning means that flooding is already occurring or is imminent.
What is causing the rain and flooding?

Rainfall accumulations of 1 - 2 inches (25 - 50 mm) have already been recorded in some parts of the island, and further accumulations of 1 to 2 inches ( 25 to 50 mm ) are likely tonight into tomorrow.
As a consequence, the flood warning will remain in effect until 10:00 am tomorrow, Thursday, August 23, 2018. Residents in flood-prone areas should remain on the alert and take the necessary precautions.
