Forged cheque for close to $20 000 lands man in law courts



A man accused of fraud-related charges was granted $10 000 bail last week.

He is 44-year-old David Oneale Willoughby of Fairy Valley, Christ Church.

Willoughby, a jackhammer operator is accused of forging a cheque in the amount of $18,988.98 and obtaining the money between January 24 and February 8, 2019. 

The matters allegedly occurred in the District "A" and "B" jurisdictions.

Magistrate Douglas Frederick granted bail and asked that Willoughby return to District "A" Magistrates' Court on July 23. However, he will appear in the Oistins Magistrates' Court on March 12.

He was not required to plead to the indictable matters.
