Former International Business Minister returns to federal court

Defendant Donville Inniss goes back to federal court today in New York today.
This court appearance is in connection with an indictment charging him with laundering bribes that he allegedly received from a Barbadian insurance company in exchange for official actions he took to secure government contracts for the insurance company.
Charges are being brought against the former parliamentarian and Minister of Industry, Commerce, International Business and Small Business Development by the United States District Court Eastern District of New York.
Previously it was reported that Inniss who cannot leave the United States has entered a not guilty plea.
It is also understood that today's court appearance is supposedly not the start of a trial.
