Four accused of stealing 21 pigs; one man misses court with reason
More than 20 pigs along with pig feed were stolen and of the four men set to answer charges in relation to this theft, three have been remanded.
Police at District F/ Belleplaine police station arrested and formally charged Jamal Emmanuel Lewis, 31 years of Foster Hall, St. John; Marlon Fitzgerald Boxill 41 years of Lodge Hill, St. Michael; Kemar Shamar Turton, 21 years of Green Hill, St. Michael and; Robert Dacosta Walker, 48 years of Seclusion Gardens, Black Rock, St. Michael.
They were charged with:
(1) theft of 21 pigs
(2) theft of 12 bags of pig feed
These offences occurred between June 19 and 20, 2018 at Greenland, St. Andrew.
Three of the accused namely Marlon Boxill, Kemar Turton and Robert Walker appeared at the District F Magistrate's Court on Friday, September 28, 2018, before Magistrate Laurieanne Smith Bovelle and were remanded in custody until Monday, October 1, where they will reappear at the District D magistrate Court before Magistrate Ian Weekes.
The accused Jamal Lewis is currently receiving medical attention at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
