Four remanded on firearm, ammunition charges
Four men appeared in the Oistins Magistrate Court recently charged with a number of firearm-related offences.
Andre Jamal Clarke, a 21-year-old resident of Scarborough, Christ Church, was charged with robbery, endangering life and use of a firearm in relation to an incident which occurred on August 3, 2019.
The incident involved a taxi operator, Nicolas Small, who reported that an unknown male, armed with a gun, had robbed him of $350 BDS whilst he was driving along Montrose Main Road, Christ Church.
The accused appeared at the Oistins Magistrate Court before Magistrate Elwood Watts and was remanded into custody to HMP Dodds until September 17, 2019.
In an unrelated case, three other men were charged with the offence of affray in relation to a shooting incident which occurred in Vauxhall, Christ Church on July, 29.
They are Akeem Deshawn Carter, 33, of Maxwell Hill, Christ Church; Chesterfield Orlando Harewood, 47, of 2nd Avenue, Vauxhall, and Leon Seymour Freeman, 25, of 1st Avenue, Sealy Land, Bank Hall, St. Michael.
Carter and Freeman were both charged for the offence of serious bodily harm and Harewood was also charged for the offence of serious bodily harm as it relates to a matter reported by Freeman.
Both Freeman and Charles appeared at the Oistins Magistrates court before Magistrate Elwood Watts and were remanded to prison until September 9, 2019.
Harewood also appeared before Magistrate Watts at the Oistins Magistrates court and was remanded until September 16, 2019.
