As persons shop for their graduations, events and Crop Over fetes, the Fair Trading Commission (FTC) is raising awareness of consumer rights, responsibilities and protection in a timely and accessible manner.
This also comes at a time when parents are complaining about restocking cupboards and refrigerators with their children on summer vacation.
The FTC will host the second in a series of Consumer Outreach programmes today, Friday, July 13, at Sheraton Centre, (Cave Shepherd entrance), Sargeant’s Village, Christ Church.
The event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and members of the public are invited to interact with the FTC’s Consumer Protection Officers who will be on hand to address queries and related concerns on consumer protection.
Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Margaret Campbell-Leslie, will also be present to discuss matters related to the monitoring of prices.
