G4S restructures in Latin America

As part of an ongoing restructuring process aimed at improving efficiencies in the organization, G4S Latin America has made several changes to its leadership.

Some eight key positions at the regional executive and country levels have been affected. This process includes the merging of the Barbados, Grenada and St Lucia business with the Trinidad and Tobago business to form a new English Caribbean Cluster.

As a result, the current Country Manager for Barbados, Grenada & St Lucia, Roger Barrow, will be retiring from the organization at the end of December.

Speaking on his pending departure from the organization, Mr Barrow, who led the division for over 19 years, said: “It has been my pleasure to have led this business during these many years. I have gained enormous experience leading the business to near quadruple its size, both in terms of revenue and employees. I am pleased to be leaving a strong, well-respected business with a team of dedicated employees, who have served the company well over the years and who I am confident will continue to maintain our core values and deliver exemplary service to our many valued customers.”

Remarking on Mr Barrow’s tenure with the company, Martin Alvarez, Regional President of G4S Latin America & Caribbean, said: “We appreciate the experience and expertise Roger has offered our business over the years, and we wish him the best in his future endeavours.”

Mr Barrow will be working for the next two months to ensure a smooth transition to the man who will helm the newly-formed English Caribbean Cluster - James Devers.

Mr Devers is the current Managing Director/Country Manager of the Trinidad and Tobago business.

He has over 25 years of business leadership experience. He brings a wealth of experience to this newly expanded role
