Grenada: Farmer charged with teen's murder

A farmer in Grenada has been charged with non-capital murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a teenage girl.  

The accused, 30-year-old Keiron Chitan, of Upper St John’s St Andrew, will appear before a Magistrate on Friday, January 17.  

It is alleged he intentionally caused the death of 16 year-old Lenisha Stafford, by unlawful harm.  

An autopsy report revealed the teenager, who was discovered last Sunday, January 12, 2020, at the home of the accused, died from injuries sustained as a result of a gunshot wound to the forehead.
