Grow the link between agriculture, tourism and cuisine

The Barbados Culinary Team competition yields the island’s finest chefs and bartenders.

But it is not only developing culinary professionals, but also focusing strongly on the link between agriculture, tourism and cuisine.

This goal was shared by Assistant Executive Vice-President of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism, Michelle Smith-Mayers.

She was chatting with Loop as the second round of chefs competed for a place on the Barbados team.

In the cuisine category, eight chefs in total vied for the coveted spaces.
