Gun violence leaves St Michael man dead

Gun violence has resulted in another murder. 

Police report that a shooting has left a 44-year-old St Michael man dead. 

The victim, Keron Anthony Hodge of #92 Midway Lane, Pinelands, was shot around 11.45 pm on Saturday October 12 while at Golden Rock in the Pine in the same parish. 

He was reportedly liming with other persons when a group of men passed by and opened fire. Hodge was shot several times in the chest area and was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by private vehicle for medical attention. 

He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical personnel at 3 am on Sunday, October 13. This latest shooting incident brings Barbados' homicide total to 38 for the year so far. 

Police investigations are continuing.
