Hewitt sworn in as Acting Governor General

The Chief Justice swore in the Acting Governor General.

The Chief Justice swore in the Acting Governor General.

Governor General Dame Sandra Mason will be off island for approximately three weeks.

Acting Governor-General, Kenneth Rudolph Hewitt, was sworn in Tuesday, August 28, 2018, by Chief Justice, Sir Marston Gibson, during a brief ceremony in the Grace Adams Suite of the Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA).

Hewitt will act until September 16, while Governor General Dame Sandra travels overseas on a private visit.
