Holiday tragedy: Cruise passenger from Ohio drowns at Barbados beach

The drowning victim has been identified.
Police have released the deceased's name as Ronald William Crane of #3400 Wooster Road in Ohio, USA.

An American visitor drowned at Pebbles Beach.
Police confirmed the news saying that the victim is caucasian male. He was 72 years old. He came to Barbados onboard the cruise ship GRANDEUR OF THE SEAS which arrived in Barbados today, Saturday, December 7, and is expected to leave at 4pm today.
Public Relations Officer, Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss shared that the now-deceased victim was on a Bus Tour from the ship which made the prearranged stop to the beach about 10.05 am. His body was found floating in the water and was brought to shore by three unknown individuals. He was treated by medical personnel from the Island Care Ambulance service who were onsite at the beach. He, however, showed no signs of life.
The name of the victim has not been released as yet.
Police investigations are ongoing.
