Home extensively damaged by fire

A fire left a house badly damaged on Friday.

Acting Public Relations Officer with the Royal Barbados Police Force, Sergeant Michael Blackman, provided details on the blaze:

"Police are investigating a house fire which occurred about 9:51 am at Harts Gap, Christ Church. 

The insured three bedrooms wooden structure which was extensively damaged is owned by Mohamed Adam, 40 yrs old, of Bay Waters #2 Deacons Road, St Michael and occupied by Guyanese nationals Gopaul Roopchand 55 years, Regina Ramdal 34 years and a third man known only as Leonard Singh."

He added that no one was injured:

"Three fire tenders and personnel under the command of Station Officer King from the Barbados Fire Service responded and extinguished the fire about 10:15 am.

"There were no injuries and no other structures were damaged. Police Investigations are continuing."
