JAMAICA: Teen tells police names of attackers before dying
A Jamaican teen who was stabbed and had her throat slashed, lived long enough to 'name her attackers'.
Reports are that on Tuesday, July 2, a farmer who was on his way to his field, found the girl lying in bushes. The deceased woman has since been identified as 18-year-old Tara Kaye Moncrieffe, otherwise called ‘TC’, of Woodstock in the parish. The teen succumbed to her injuries in hospital two days later.
St. Ann police have taken three men into custody in relation to the stabbing of the female teenager in the rural community of Woodstock in the parish on Tuesday.
It is alleged that she was stabbed several times, and her throat was partially slashed by her attackers. Moncrieffe was assisted to hospital, where she underwent treatment, but died on Thursday, the police reported.
Sources disclosed that prior to her death, she named her attackers, with the suspects being subsequently picked up by the police for questioning.
Among those arrested was a man with whom the deceased is believed to have once had an intimate relationship.
Police investigations are continuing into the development.
