Jamaican returns for top job at Digicel Jamaica

Digicel on Friday announced Justin Morin as the new incoming Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for its Jamaica operations.
A dynamic Jamaican who has enjoyed success on the international stage, Morin brings over 17 years’ experience and a solid track record spanning multiple industries including Telecommunications, Finance, Fast-moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Manufacturing.
Justin returns to home soil after eight years of working abroad with his most recent role being Director of Corporate Strategy with Saudi Telecom - the leading telecommunications group in the Middle East – where he spearheaded the successful development and execution of the company’s strategic growth plan with a focus on maximising opportunities in the converged technology and digital space.
The St. George’s Old Boy also spent seven years at GraceKennedy – one of Jamaica’s largest and most dynamic Food and Finance corporate entities – working in several roles in investment, manufacturing and operations before joining global consultancy firm with specialisation in telecoms, Delta Partners, where he served as a Senior Principal.
Excited about his new role and the opportunity to rekindle his family connections, Justin said; “It’s an exciting time for Digicel and our customers and I’m thrilled to be joining this dynamic brand at a time when we’re transforming for the future. I’m looking forward to working with an already fantastic team to deliver a superior network, compelling content and amazing experiences to our customers. My wife and I are also very excited to be returning home to Jamaica and raising our twin daughters right here where we both grew up.”
Meanwhile, Digicel Jamaica Board members, Harry Smith and Tony Chang, were happy to welcome Justin to the team, saying; “This is a real game-changer for the Jamaican market and we look forward to working with Justin.”
