“I arrived here five days early from Costa Rica to practice, having never been here before ,the waves are quite similar to home so I felt very comfortable out there , I am really happy Mother Nature treated me good and I peaked in the final , which is always the plan, just glad it all came together today," Burke stated.
The Barbadian surfer is currently ranked #3 in the World Surf League North America region which includes Central America & Mexico and #94 on the International ranking.
“I am looking forward to getting home to prepare for the upcoming WSL Thomo QS 1000 in a couple weeks at Soup Bowl, hopefully keep my momentum rolling before pushing off to Hawaii for the winter immediately after the Thomo," Burke said.
