Knife attack in parking lot leaves driver wounded

Hours after a fatal shooting in a neighbouring community, a man was left bloody after being stabbed by an attacker.

Police are investigating a stabbing incident which was reported about 11:00 pm, last night, Tuesday, July 10, 2018, on the premises of Abundant Life Assembly Church, Bank Hall, St. Michael.

A 35-year-old male and a female companion were seated in a parked private motor car having a conversation when they were approached by an unknown man who ordered the driver out of the vehicle. He was reportedly armed with a knife.

An altercation ensued after which the assailant fled on foot; however, the driver of the motor car received a wound to his chest during the altercation.

He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance for medical attention.
