Carribean airline LIAT has cancelled two of its Barbados flights - one departing from and the other to the island.

In its latest advisory, the airline said that flights LI 374 from Barbados to St. Lucia and LI 375 from St. Lucia to Barbados were cancelled, "to ensure passenger and crew safety".

While it stated "that passengers who have been booked on these flights will be allowed to rebook and have all change fees and fare differences waived" they must do so "on or before Tuesday, September 19th".

It also issued this warning to its clients:

"Please be reminded that passengers who decide to travel but are unable to complete their journey due to disruption caused by weather conditions, will not be provided with meals, transportation and hotel accommodation. Passengers with onward connections are advised to contact the respective regional and international carriers."
