Loop Traffic Report - Don't speed through flashing lights

Here's a look at our roads and major concerns this morning.

No accidents were reported for today.

Traffic is moderate across the island, with it building in and around Bridgetown.

Sergeant Seibert Johnson of the Royal Barbados Police Force's Traffic Division is urging persons to stop before proceeding when traffic lights are flashing.

He told Loop News that the Force continues to see motorists approach them at high speed with no intention of stopping

Lamenting that "persons are still driving through the lights like if they are on green....persons are not just stopping," he warned that this can lead to accidents and even result in death.

He advised drivers to slow down as they approach flashing lights and look around to make sure the path is clear before proceeding.

Approach traffic lights with caution.
