Loop Weather Report - Tropical wave approaching on October 8

UPDATE [1:30 pm]: The Barbados Meteorological Services has provided an update on the tropical wave which is approaching the island.

They said that "over western, northwestern and central districts, it will be generally cloudy with moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms.

Residents in flood-prone areas should remain vigilant and exercise extreme caution, due to the likelihood of isolated flooding.

Elsewhere fair to partly cloudy with a few isolated showers."



Here is a look at the weather according to the Barbados Meteorological Services.

Today should be fair to occasionally cloudy with a few scattered showers and a slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm mainly during the afternoon, as a tropical wave will be approaching the island. That tropical wave will be affecting the island tonight and will result in it being partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy with some scattered showers.

Winds are generally from the east to east-southeast at 15 to 25 km/h, while seas are slight to moderate in open water with swells from 1.0m to 2.0m.
