A prisoner who said he had been in jail for the past three years had his time extended by two months yesterday.
James Josiah Sandiford was found guilty last month of assaulting Rudolph Small with the intent to rob him on December 6, 2014.
The 23-year-old of Lower Richmond, St Michael has a number of charges before the court but said he was granted bail and would be released in September.
Although he asked for timed served, Magistrate Douglas Frederick said his time on remand was in relation to other charges. Therefore he handed down a two month consecutive sentence which started yesterday.
