Man on bail for two charges gets remanded on new firearm charge

A 47-year-old man, accused of possessing two rounds of ammunition, was remanded to prison until April 17 this year.

Michael Anthony Brathwaite of  Reed Street, St Michael was not required to plead to the March 17, 2019 offence when he appeared in the District 'A' Magistrates' last week.

Brathwaite, is already on two sets of bail in relation to the robbery and serious bodily harm charges.

Those charges indicate that he robbed Basil Whitehead of a chain, pendant and a watch worth $11,400 on April 7, 2018. and caused serious bodily harm to Winston Beckles on February 19, 2017.
