Man dies after reporting his attack to police at Central

A 31-year-old man died after he was reportedly beaten by a mob.

Seeking refuge and justice, Jamar Small made his last ride a journey on his bicycle to the Central Police Station in Bridgetown.

On arrival around 9.10 pm last night (March 13), police said that he rode in and reported that he was beaten and ran by a group of men whilst at Britton's Hill in St. Michael.

Police saw minor abrasions about his hands and feet and what appeared to be blood was also observed on his feet.

Personnel from the Ambulance Service were summoned to the station and took the complainant to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) where he subsequently died.

Police are now carrying out investigations into the circumstances which resulted in the death of Small who lived in Villa Road, Britton's Hill, St Michael which occurred about 12.30 am on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
