UPDATE: Police name man killed in Chapman Street shooting

Barbados' latest murder victim has been identified. He is 23-year-old, Shaquille Greenidge of #61 Kensington Lodge Saint Michael.

Circumstances reveal Greendige was riding a motor cycle along Chapman Street between Kings Street and Chapman Street, when a car with a number of masked men opened fire, fatally wounding him.

Greenidge was charged back in June 2016 with a gun-related offence when he attempted to enter the District A Magistrate Court armed with a 9mm gun. 

Police are continuing investigations. Anyone who has any information on the shooting is urged to contact Police Emergency at 211 or Crime Shoppers at 1800-tips or any police station.

Police have confirmed that a man has died as a result of a shooting.

Investigations are continuing into the incident which occurred at Chapman Street, St. Michael around 7:20 pm today.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been released by the Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF).
