Man with pregnant girlfriend starts two-year sentence for burglary
The shadow of a man running from the bedroom of a house in the wee hours of the morning caused obvious panic for an unsuspecting homeowner.
That man, Jim Ron Fenty will start two-year sentence from this month for that crime. The 24-year-old of Downhill Drive, Eden Lodge, St Michael admitted that he entered Jossett Williams’ house and robbed her of a cellphone, BBD$1,500, USD$60 and CND$40 cash, a bottle of whiskey, three watches, four bags, three purses, a Barbados passport and an identification card between March 15 and 16.
Williams had locked her house and was sleeping when a noise woke her. She saw Fenty running and then discovered several items were gone.
Fenty, a repeat offender, apologised but blamed his actions on his current situation - he said his girlfriend was two months pregnant.
The CCTV footage showed a man with his face covered, however, investigations eventually led to Fenty.
Magistrate Kristie Cuffy- Sargeant imposed the sentence on March 21.
