Man at QEH after late night shooting

The Royal Barbados Police Force is investigating another shooting incident for this year, following the first murder in 2019 on Tuesday, which left a beloved tattoo artist dead.

Police said that at 9:50 pm on Wednesday, 33-year-old Shane Browne was shot and had to be transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) for treatment.

Acting Public Relations Officer with the Force, Station Sergeant Michael Blackman (ag), provided the following details to the media: 

"Police are carrying out investigations into a report of a shooting at Odessa McClean Road, My Lord's Hill, St Michael, which occurred about 9:50 pm on Wednesday, January 09th, 2019.

"Police learnt that Shane Browne of the said address received a gunshot injury to one of his feet and was transported to the QEH by ambulance."

Station Sergeant Blackman (ag) added that police "investigations are continuing."
