UPDATE: Shot, St. Lucy man dies a stone-throw from his home

The Royal Barbados Police Force has named the victim involved in the fatal St. Lucy shooting.

Police are currently conducting investigations into the circumstances which resulted in the death of 40-year-old Dexter Rohan Lashley of Crab Hill #2, St. Lucy.

Police responded to a report of a shooting, on arrival they discovered the lifeless body of Lashley about 25 metres away from his residence

Anyone who can provide any information that can assist with these investigations is asked to call the police emergency 211, Crab Hill police station at 3107700/01, Crime Stoppers 18008477, District E 4191737 or the nearest police station.

The Royal Barbados Police Force is on the scene of a shooting incident at Crab Hill, St Lucy, which has left one man dead.

Acting public relations officer with the Force, Sergeant Michael Blackman provided Loop News with some details:

"We do have confirmed reports of an unnatural death at Crab Hill, St Lucy.

"That report came in sometime after 7 o'clock this morning."

He said that while he could not provide the name of the victim at this time, it is a male who appears to be in his early 40s.
