Man shot right outside his Risk Road home

A 65-year-old is today nursing a gunshot injury received while on his doorstep.

Police are conducting investigations into a shooting incident which resulted in the injury of Sylvester Small. This occurred sometime around 5:45 am this morning, Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Risk Road, Fitts Village, St. James.

During this incident, Small of the said address received a gunshot injury to his upper right shoulder.

According to the police report, Small was at his residence standing outside his door when a young man approached him, pointed a firearm in his direction and discharged a shot. Small was struck in the upper section of his right shoulder. The assailant ran away. The victim was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by ambulance for medical attention.

Police are continuing investigations into this matter.
