Man stabbed on Fairchild Street, succumbs to injuries at the hospital

Local law enforcement officials have another homicide on their hands this morning, the 32nd for all of 2019 so far.
However, whereas over the past few weeks victims died as a result of gunshot injuries, the latest victim - a man - was pronounced dead at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) after being stabbed.
The Royal Barbados Police Force has not yet released the name of the deceased but says just around 1:46 a.m., they received a report about a disturbance in which a man was being beaten by a group of men along Fairchild Street in The City.
When they responded, they discovered the injured individual laying on the ground.
An ambulance was summoned and the injured man was taken to the QEH where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
Earlier this week Barbados recorded its 31st homicide for the year when Ackeem Leon, one of two men shot on Tuesday night at Bank Hall, St. Michael, died at the hospital.
