Jamaica and West Indies cricketer Marlon Samuels has threatened to take legal action against popular media personality and singer Yanique 'Curvy Diva' Barrett for alleged defamation of character.
In a statement Monday, he alleged that a recent social media post made by Barrett damaged his character and warned that the TV host turned artiste and her handlers "immediately cease and desist from embroiling my name in any controversy.
"Failure to observe this request will result in legal action for an injunction against you to restrain you from further slandering and defaming my name and reputation."
Samuels refuted "the allegations made by Miss Yanique Barrett".
Barrett in social media posts had alleged that a male acquaintance had been stalking her to the point where she was considering "taking out a restraining order" against the unnamed man.
