Barbadian entertainer Omar Marzville McQuilkin, who is accused of wounding a fellow artiste at a recent Crop Over event, was granted bail on the matter.
Yesterday, July 24, McQuilkin, 33, of Six Roads, St Phillip appeared in the Holetown Magistrates' Court where he pleaded not guilty to unlawfully and maliciously wounding Romario Sk Cave. Cave is the current holder of the Bashment Soca Monarch title.
The incident allegedly occurred on July 21 at 'Soca on the Hill' which was held at Farley Hill National Park.
McQuilkin was represented by lawyer Damien Sands.
He will return to court on November 28.
