Masked men rob gas station in Jackmans

A male customer was also robbed.

Police are conducting investigations into a case of aggravated burglary which occurred at the SOL Service Station, Jackmans, St. Michael, around 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016.

According to a statement from Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector Roland Cobbler, preliminary investigations revealed that three masked men, one armed with a gun, entered the establishment and demanded cash from the cashier, before escaping with an undisclosed sum of money.

The culprits also robbed a male customer of jewellery and cash.

Police are appealing to anyone who can provide any information to assist with these investigations can contact the police emergency number 211, Crime Stopper 1800 (TIPS) 8477, CID District ‘A’ at 4307220, or the nearest police station.

The general public, business owners and employees were also reminded to be more vigilant during this time of the year “as a result of the darker conditions in the environment”. Additionally, special attention should also be placed on suspicious persons or activities.
