Minister Santia Bradshaw rings the bell to signal end of treatment
Santia Bradshaw ends treatment happily.
Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Santia Bradshaw is not wasting a moment of her life and she jumped right back into work mode, one day after celebrating a monumental milestone in her life.
At 10:00 am, today, Monday, June 17, 2019, Bradshaw may have been chairing one of the most important press conferences in the lives of some 3000-plus students' lives as she delivered the Common Entrance Examination results, but she too must have still been on a high having received some great news herself the day before.
Photographed ringing a bell, she recorded a huge health success.
Why was she ringing a bell? What was it to signify?
Here's the amazing reason why Bradshaw took a moment to ring her own bell.
Bell-ringing ceremonies are a new and popular way to mark the end of cancer treatment at cancer clinics around the United States. According to research, each ceremony stars a patient who has completed a full course of chemotherapy or radiation.
Captioning her mini-gallery of photos happily ringing the bell at her treatment facility of choice, Bradshaw captioned the post:
"My treatment’s done
This course is run
And I am on my way!"
She surely was on her way, right back to work at the Ministry of Education today.
Over 1000 people liked her post in the course of one day, while some persons took to the comments section on her post to 'clap', and giving encouragement as well as praise.
One person wrote:
"To God be the glory... You have so much more to do for Barbados and the Region... God's plan for you is only now beginning to unfold. Continue to inspire Santia!"
Congrats Santia! We wish you God's richest blessings.
