Minister of Information, Broadcasting and Public Affairs, Senator Lucille Moe.
Sunday’s Mediathon in aid of the Hurricane stricken Bahamas has so far been hailed as a success by Minister of Information, Broadcasting and Public Affairs, Senator Lucille Moe.
She told reporters she was heartened by the response shown by members of the public and the business community.
“The media of Barbados has really stepped forward and have really really done all that they can to make this a success,” Moe, under whose ambit the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation and Government Information Service falls, said.
So far, over $440,000 has been pledged, with Prime Minister Mia Mottley promising that the Government would match whatever amount was put forward.
