UPDATE: Police confirm missing girl is safe

Police have traced the missing 14-year-old girl.

Atia Ashara Best of Fernihurst, Black Rock, St. Michael, who was reported missing on Thursday, February 15, 2018, is safe.

Police issued this update, on February 16, 2018.

Another family is today worried about a missing relative.

The Royal Barbados Police Force is seeking the assistance of the public in locating a missing girl.

She is Atia Ashara Best, 14 years, of Block 6B, Fernihurst, Black Rock, St. Michael.

Best was last seen by her aunt Stacey-ann Gibson, sometime around 3:15 pm yesterday, at their residence and has not been seen since. At the time she was wearing a three-quarter pant, a tight short pink shirt that stops just under the breast and a pair of red and black plastic slippers.

While police did not provide a photo of her they gave the following description:

Atia is 5’ 3” tall, slim built, dark complexion, has thick lips, full eyes and small breasted. She has her hair braided in a pineapple hairstyle.

Anyone with information relative to the where-a-bouts of Atia Ashara Best, is being asked to contact the Black Rock Police Station, at 4177500, or 4177501. Police Emergency number 211 or the nearest Police Station.
