UPDATE: Mother succumbs to stab wounds in home's verandah

The Royal Barbados Police Force has informed the public that the body of the female discovered at Frere Pilgrim South, Christ
Church has been identified by family members.

She is 39-year-old Zanaba Moore of #19 Frere Pilgrim South, Christ Church.

A woman who has a toddler is today dead.

The 39-year-old woman lived at the residence where she died, with her grandmother, sister, two-year-old daughter and 18-year-old son.

At 11:38 am, today, Tuesday, April 23, 2019, the Police Public Relations Officer, Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss told the media that:

"Police are currently at the scene of an unnatural death at a residence in Frere Pilgrim South, Christ Church. Personnel at Boarded Hall Police Station received a telephone call from a male who reported that there was an altercation between a male and a female and the man stabbed the female then subsequently fled the scene.

"Police promptly responded and on their arrival discovered the motionless body of a female in the front verandah of a residence. An unnatural death investigation has been started. An update will be given when more info comes to hand."

The police are calling on anyone with information to contact the Boarded Hall station at 4374311 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-tips or use the police hotline 211.

The identity of the victim has not been disclosed by the police as yet.
