Mother of three wins almost half million with Mega 6

A 55-year-old mother of three, collected her $430,000 cheque as the fifth Mega 6 jackpot winner this year.

The reality of being a Barbados Lottery winner finally sank in for Beverley Marsh, a long time Mega 6 player.

“I feel really good. At first, I didn’t believe it. Now that I have the cheque it’s sinking in,” said Marsh.

“But just before I bought the ticket on September 25th I went on Facebook and played a game which analyzed my photo. I then received an article which told me that by the 28th of September I’d win big.” Marsh shared.

Marsh has plans to use her winnings to clear up her arrears and spend some on the holiday celebrations. Not forgetting about rainy days, she also intends on putting something in the bank.

She has been playing Mega 6 for so long she has lost count of the years. She says Mega 6 is one of her favourite games, along with Super Lotto. In addition to expressing her excitement for her win, Marsh commends the Barbados Lottery for their efforts to support youth, sports and cultural initiatives throughout the country.

Site Operations Manager at the Barbados Lottery, Shelly-Ann Hee Chung said,

“We are excited to have one of our players secure almost half a million dollars playing the game she loves. It is always a joy for us to share these moments with our winners. We are also delighted that our players recognize the work we are doing. The Barbados Lottery remains committed to supporting national development in the areas of youth, sports and culture.”

Among the organizations supported by the Barbados Lottery are The Barbados Cricket Association, Barbados Turf Club, Barbados Olympic Association and the National Sports Council.
