Named 'Hit and Run' victim critical but stable

Hit and run victim listed as critical but stable.

Though, police are still actively conducting investigations into the 'Hit and Run' accident which occurred sometime after 6:00 pm, on Sunday, March 11, 2018, along Bibby’s Lane, St. Michael, involving a pedestrian and a motor van, registration number and driver unknown, they have released the name of the victim.

The accident resulted in serious injuries to pedestrian Ronald Knight. The 45-year-old is of Exchange Hill, St. Michael.

According to police, Knight was walking along the road on the left side, when he was struck from behind by a green Suzuki Vitara motor van, which ran over him in the process, as the driver drove away without stopping. He received multiple injuries to the body. 

Investigations are continuing. We are continuing our appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this accident or can provide any information to assist us in the investigation to contact the District ‘A’ Police station at telephone 4307242 or 4307246, the Operations Control Room at 430-7100 or any police station.

This accident happened the same night that a motorcyclist was hit along My Lord's Hill.
