New jobs to be generated from Burger King relocation
In three months time, fast-food restaurant, Burger King will relocate its Trident House, Bridgetown branch to Esso Gas Station in Hastings, Christ Church.
Word of this comes from General Manager Ryan Walters, who explained that there will be no job losses as a result of the move but rather, the new restaurant will see the creation of jobs and also the addition of the company’s fourth Drive-Thru service.
He said, “We are extremely excited about this new state-of-the-art location as it will mean the addition of approximately 10 new staff members to our existing complement of 12 from the Trident branch, comprising supervisory and general team members. Additionally, the new branch will be the home of another Drive-Thru for the company, which customers in that area have been constantly asking for.”
Walters noted that along with the Drive-Thru the Hastings branch will also feature a ‘walk-up’ counter for customers on the go, offering the full Burger King menu found at the five other locations at Sky Mall, Warrens, Bridge Street Mall, Sheraton Centre and Holetown.
He added, “Opening hours for the new restaurant will be similar to the Holetown Branch, namely Monday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to midnight and Sundays 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., allowing patrons to conveniently grab any of our variety of tasty, freshly prepared meals.
The Trident House Branch was scheduled to close its doors on Sunday, August 4. However, Walters assured their Bridgetown customers that they will still be able to enjoy all the mouth-watering dishes the restaurant has to offer at its Bridge Street Branch where it will still be business as usual. The company will also be launching a delivery service during lunch hours in Bridgetown to offer greater convenience to its customers.
He added, “This is another strategic move as we expand our business. We continuously listen to our customers and aim to deliver above their expectations, as we build our brand across the island.”
Damien Haynes, Sales Executive Esso Retail, in welcoming the partnership said, "Esso^ TM branded Service Station located in Hastings is very happy to partner with Burger King. We will also be reopening the service station side of the business at that location, which will offer the new and improved Synergy family of fuels and we expect this partnership to benefit both brands. Business is expected to resume in the coming months to coincide with the Burger King launch and we are very excited to present this offer to our valued customers."
