Update: Missing nine-year-old girl found

Police report that nine-year-old Alexa Yearwood of Apt A Lot 123 Edghill Terrace, St Thomas has reunited with her family. 

Police public relations officer, acting inspector Rodney Inniss stated that the nine-year-old was found on Monday night. He thanked the public for quickly spreading the word and drawing the attention to the sensitive situation.

The District A Police Station is seeking the public's assistance in locating missing nine-year-old Alexa Yearwood of Apt A Lot 123 Edghill Terrace, St Thomas. 

 Yearwood was last seen leaving the home of her grandmother, Jessica Beckles, in White Hall Main Road, St Michael, around 10:50 am. Police report that she was carrying an aquarium and a pink bag. She was wearing a close-fitting dark blue long jeans pants and a frilly aquamarine and purple strap top.

Yearwood is light brown complexion, slim, and approximately five feet four inches in height. She has a short hair cut, a longish face, a mole in the center of her forehead. 

Anyone knowing of the whereabouts of this juvenile is asked to contact Police Emergency at 211 or the District A Station at 430-7242/46.
