Distributor Brydens Stokes Limited has done their due diligence and confirms that the Caribbean region is untouched by the recent recall by Durex of some brands and batches of condoms in places such as Germany, Singapore, Ireland and the UK.
Head of Group Marketing Rachel Pilgrim told Loop News today, “As soon as we saw this [the international recalls] we did our homework and we checked instantly and we let people know so that if anybody does hear about it, they know that they are safe, because that is not a fun thing to be playing with.”
So she that as soon as the news broke internationally, “we got in touch with the people straight away.”
In the release posted to Brydens Stokes Ltd. Instagram, it reads:
“Lisa Myles, Brand Manager for Durex Barbados confirmed, “We have spoken with Lynn Kenney, Quality Control of Durex in the USA. She has confirmed that following a full analysis of all the batches in the market, none of the batches shipped to the Caribbean are affected and all meet full Quality Control specifications. And the social media post reiterated Pilgrim’s assurance, stating, “Bryden Stokes Ltd has confirmed that NO RECALL has been issued for the Item Durex ‘Real Feel/Avanti Bare Condom’ within the Caribbean; the recall is applicable ONLY to shipments for batches shipped to other regions.”
