UPDATE: Man on ammo and drug charges escorted to the prison bus

Adesina Kijana Crichlow left the District 'A' Magistrate Court courtyard in the prison bus.

The 33-year-old of Brydens Avenue, Britton's Hill, St. Michael, and Roumaika Court, Dayrells Road, Christ Church, who was arrested and formally charged by police for a number of Firearm and Drug-related offences, which were committed on the 6th, 8th, and 10th of January 2018, whilst at Collymore Rock, Dayrells Road, and Britton's Hill, respectively, appeared before Magistrate Wayne Clarke in the District “A’ Magistrates Court today, Saturday, Jamuary 13, 2018.

He entered the courtroom just after 10:30 am handcuffed and escorted by officers.

He was remanded to prison to reappear in Court February 9, 2018.

Over 1,200 rounds of ammo, 9 guns, found during police searches

Search warrants at the homes of one man reveal an arsenal of weaponry including hundreds of rounds of ammunition for a series of firearms such as AK-47s.

Members of the Police Anti-Gun & Gang Unit, have arrested and formally charged a 33-year-old St. Michael man for a number of Firearm and Drug-related offences, which were committed on the 6th, 8th, and 10th of January 2018, whilst at Collymore Rock, Dayrells Road, and Britton's Hill, respectively.

He is Adesina Kijana Crichlow, 33 years of Brydens Avenue, Britton's Hill, St. Michael, and Roumaika Court, Dayrells Road, Christ Church,

1)     For the offences, which were committed on Saturday the 6th of January 2018, whilst at Collymore Rock, and Dayrells Road, Chrichlow was formally charged for:

·     Possession of one (1) Firearm without a valid license

·      Possession of two (2) rounds of ammunition without a permit

·     Unlawful Possession of Cannabis

·     Unlawful Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply

·     Trafficking of Cannabis.

2)     For the offences which were committed on Monday the 8th of January 2018, whilst at Brittons Hill, St. Michael, Chrichlow was formally charged for:

·     Possession of Six (6) Firearms without a valid license

·     Possession of three hundred and seventy-one (371) rounds of various types of ammunition without a permit

3)     For the offences which were committed on Wednesday the 10th of January 2018, also at Brittons Hill, St. Michael, Chrichlow was formally charged for:

·     Two (2) counts of Possession of two (2) Firearms without a valid license.

·     Possession of two (2) rounds of .38 ammunition without a permit.

·     Possession of twenty-nine (29) rounds of .32 ammunition without a permit

·     Possession of seventeen (17) rounds of .25 ammunition without a permit

·     Possession of three hundred and thirty-three (333) rounds of 7.62 ammunition without a permit

·     Possession of one hundred and ninety-nine (199) rounds of .223 ammunition without a permit

·     Possession of one hundred and forty-three (143) rounds of .45 ammunition without a permit

·     Possession of one hundred and ten (110) rounds of .357 ammunition without a permit  

On Saturday, January 6, 2018, members of the Police Anti-Gun & Gang Unit, were conducting an operation at Collymore Rock, St. Michael, when Chrichlow was intercepted driving a motor van, and found in possession of a firearm and two rounds of ammunition. Investigations were conducted, and search warrants executed at the two residences occupied by the Chrichlow. As a result, the drugs, firearms and ammunition discovered.

Chrichlow was subsequently charged for the offences. Chrichlow is expected to appear in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court tomorrow, Saturday, January 13, 2018.
