Over $150 000 in drugs lands man in court

The Royal Barbados Police Force has charged yet another person for a number of drug-related offences.

Members of the Drug Squad have arrested and formally charged Sheldon Andrew Rogers, twenty-eight (28) years old of Fairfield Cross Road, Tudor Bridge, St Michael, for offences committed on Monday, February 12, at the Bridgetown Port, St Michael.

 

Rogers was arrested and formally charged for:

*Unlawful Possession of Cannabis

*Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply

*Trafficking of Cannabis

*Importation of Cannabis

*Unlawful Possession of Cocaine

*Possession of Cocaine with Intent to supply

*Trafficking of Cocaine

*Importation of Cocaine

 

Rogers appeared before Magistrate Cuffy-Sergeant in the District ‘A’ Magistrate Court yesterday. He pleaded not guilty to the offences and was granted bail at the sum of $120,000 with one surety, to return to Court on May 17th.

As part of his bail condition, he is required to report to Black Rock Police Station, every Monday, and must surrender his passport to the Court.

Total weight of the cannabis = 5.334 kgs with an estimated street value of $42,672.00.

Total weight of the Cocaine = 2.305 kgs, with an estimated street value of $115,250.00.
