Partially burnt bodies of two Barbadians found in Jamaica
Police from St Thomas, Jamaica say they have stepped up investigations to track down criminals who shot and killed two men from Barbados and dumped their bodies in a section of the parish on Friday.
It was later revealed that the two men are Barbadian nationals, 27-year-old Dario Yearwood and 37-year-old Daniel Griffiths, who had arrived in Kingston on Wednesday.
Police were able to identify the men based on footage from the Norman Manley International Airport. Yearwood and Griffiths were supposed to check into the Four Seasons Hotel in Kingston but they never showed.
Police believe the murders were carried out the same day the men arrived into the country.
Reports state residents of St Thomas in Jamaica, who were travelling in the area, stumbled on the remains and alerted authorities.
What they discovered were the partially burnt bodies of the men in the community of Woodbourne.
Police had released brief descriptions before the men were identified - one of the bodies is of dark complexion, stout build and about 5 feet 10 inches in length, with a colored beard.
The other is of dark complexion, medium build, low haircut and was about five feet eight inches in length.
