Jemmotts Lane, St. Michael is glowing bright orange tonight as a blaze once again guts the old buildings where the Ambulance Services were once located.

The Barbados Fire Service received the call at 10:12 pm tonight, Friday, May 25, 2018.

Responding to the fire are seven fire officers under the command of Sub-Officer Brathwaite. Two water tenders and one water tanker were all dispatched from the Bridgetown Fire Station in Probyn Street.

Reports reaching Loop News are that the police have cordoned off the street and vehicular traffic is being diverted.

Buildings on the same old Ministry of Health grounds burned on the morning of April 14, 2018. And following last month’s incident which also saw damages to the Barbados Family Planning Association headquarters, for safety reasons asbestos was being removed from the unaffected buildings on the premises as well.
