Two cars parked one behind the other along Sunset Drive had the small triangular rear windows smashed and the car doors were left ajar. There are stories of at least three cars broken into in Pine Gardens along at least two gaps, while some which were not locked but parked along other streets in the area seem to have also been entered and searched as well.
Speaking to the Police spokesperson around 6:30am, Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss said that he will look into the reports. Persons affected are encouraged to call the police emergency hotline '211' or call District 'A' Police Station.
This spate of auto robberies follows a slew of similar incidents in Bank Hall, St. Michael recently. In that community, Inniss said police recorded a total of 17 cars hit by the perpetrators, however, it was alleged that upwards of 30 cars were impacted on that one occasion.
