PHOTOS: Wedding proposal on first trip to Barbados
Wedding proposal at Harrison's Cave.
She said 'Yes!'
Yesterday as millions, if not billions of people around the globe celebrated Valentine's Day, a pair of tourists from South America who explored the heart of Barbados - Harrison's Cave in St. Thomas, on February 4, 2019, were reflecting on their recent proposal.
It was there that Felipe decided to pop the question, amongst the cool air and green foliage as birds chirped, and the wind rustled the leaves, after watching a troop of green monkeys play.
Posting an image yesterday on Valentine's Day in her fiance's arms while on a Barbados white sandy beach, Carol simply captioned the photo, 'My Valentine's' along with a red heart emoji.
Carol and Felipe enjoy Barbados
Ten days ago on the island, their marriage proposal was caught on camera. Carol wrote:
"7 years together, with much companionship, happiness and lots of love ... This is just the beginning of our history, that we will be together until the end! Fe asked me today, and I said YES !!"
Asked by Loop Lifestyle if this is their first visit to Barbados, Carol said, 'yes'. Happy to share their story with our readership, when asked what she loves about Barbados, she echoed one of her photo captions, "Every bit of this place is beautiful!"
On their trip they visited Oistins Bay Gardens, Waterfront Cafe, the Harrison Point lighthouse, Harrison's Cave, the Animal Flower Cave, Dover Beach, Blue Pineapple, the Richard Haynes Boardwalk, Silver Sands beach, Bathsheba, and they saw 'sea horses', green monkeys, goats and black belly sheep, as well as enjoyed grilled and fried fish, rum punch and more.
Carol who is an artist also showcased Barbados on her art Instagram and she sketched on the flight over from Panama, sketched in the airport and even while at the Silver Sands beach.
