Police destroy cocaine, marijuana

The Royal Barbados Police Force recently conducted a drug destruction exercise. 

On Friday November 8 2019, 1,133 pounds of marijuana and 3.6 kilograms of cocaine were destroyed. The estimated street value of the marijuana was $2,266,000 BDS and the cocaine $181,000 BDS.

These drugs came into police custody by various means and were all the subject of criminal investigations within the Oistins, District ‘B’, District ‘C’ and Holetown jurisdictions. These matters have all been adjudicated by the various courts in whose jurisdiction the matters fell and the drugs were authorized for disposal.

The exercise was conducted under the supervision of Acting Superintendent of Police Elphene Moore.
